EDGEWOOD, Md., April 29, 2025 – APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) welcomed Jo Anna Shuba, Izak Battle and Heather Lafleur to its marketing team.
Shuba joins APGFCU as the vice president of marketing, bringing over 30 years of experience in marketing, branding and communications to her new role. Prior to joining APGFCU, she spent seven years managing credit card portfolios for major U.S. brands in the travel and affinity sectors.
Throughout her career, Shuba has held various leadership positions in marketing, demonstrating her passion for building relationships and her expertise in developing effective marketing strategies. She holds a Master's Degree in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University and has successfully led major organizational rebranding efforts, developed comprehensive communications strategies, and created impactful omnichannel marketing campaigns. A Baltimore native, her local knowledge will be beneficial as the credit union continues to expand into Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Battle joins APGFCU as the business development director for Harford County. With 27 years of experience in financial services, Battle has worked in savings banks, national banks, and international banks, holding various positions throughout his career. Most recently, he served as a business banking relationship manager at a large commercial bank, where he managed business clients with revenues ranging from $1 million to $5 million. Battle has been a resident of Harford County for the past 10 years.
Lafleur joins APGFCU as business development director for Baltimore County and Baltimore City. Lafleur has 12 years of experience in business development and has held various leadership roles in the Baltimore area, focusing on leadership development and hospitality. In her most recent position, she supported complex markets while helping organizations enhance their culture and overall performance. A Baltimore native, she is actively engaged in the communities of Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
