APGFCU is dedicated to helping students graduating from high school, continuing their education through college, trade school or certificate programs, and returning adults reach their goals through our Scholarship Competition. APGFCU is proud to sponsor this competition, now in its 29th year.
To apply, participants may respond to the following topic:
Financial literacy is a lifelong journey. At APGFCU, we believe in guiding our members toward smart, responsible decisions that enrich their lives.
Share a moment when you learned an important financial lesson. How did it shape your habits or mindset, and how do you plan to use that knowledge to build a better future—for yourself and your community?
Participants can respond from January 2 through February 15, 2026, in one of three ways:
The APGFCU-sponsored scholarship contest is open to members in good standing who are: high school students 18 years of age or younger, anticipating a Spring 2026 graduation; continuing students of college, trade school, or a certificate program in 2026; or adults returning to a for-credit college, trade school or a certificate program in 2026. This scholarship does not apply to students in post-graduate programs nor to payment of student loans.
Only one entry, received during the contest period, will be accepted from any participant. Applications will be evaluated, without regard to financial need. Click to see the official rules.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 APGFCU Annual Meeting on April 23, 2026.
