EDGEWOOD, Md., July 1, 2022 – APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) received a Forbes magazine’s Best-In-State Credit Union award for the third year, ranking fourth in Maryland.

Each year, Forbes partners with Statista, an independent market research firm, to conduct in-depth consumer interviews across the U.S. to determine the best credit unions in each state. This year, more than 26,000 citizens from all 50 states were surveyed on their banking relationships. Scores and rankings are based on a 1-100 scale of consumer opinions of overall recommendations and satisfaction with an institution’s trust and transparency, terms and conditions, branch, digital and customer service, and financial advice. Of the over 5,400 credit unions in the U.S, only 3.4% earned best-in-state rankings.

“We’re honored to be recognized for the third year,” states CEO Don W. Lewis. “As a financial cooperative, we are member-owned and member-driven. This structure and our philosophy of people helping people guide our everyday decisions and help us stand out and rank among the best. We are eager to share our best-in-state credit union service with our new field of membership in Baltimore County and Baltimore City, while continuing our commitment to our members in Harford and Cecil counties.”

APGFCU is committed to building strong families for a stronger community with locations throughout Harford and Cecil counties. Membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
