EDGEWOOD, Md., (June 24, 2025) – Forbes magazine has recognized APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) as one of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions for the sixth time, ranking it number one in 2025.

Each year, Forbes partners with Statista, an independent market research firm, to conduct in-depth consumer interviews across the U.S. to determine the best credit unions in each state. This year, more than 26,000 residents from all 50 states were surveyed on their banking relationships.

"We're honored to be recognized once again by Forbes as one of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions," says APGFCU President/CEO Becky Smith. "This award reflects the trust our members place in us and the dedication of our team to deliver exceptional service and financial guidance every day."

Scores and rankings were based on a 1-100 scale of consumer opinions of overall recommendations and satisfaction with an institution’s trust and transparency, terms and conditions, branch, digital and customer service, and financial advice. Additionally, award winners were determined based on a sentiment analysis of public reviews and ratings from February 2025 through March 2025. Of the thousands of credit unions in the U.S., only 228 earned best-in-state rankings.

APGFCU membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City. For more information, call 410-272-4000 or visit apgfcu.com.
