Marco Miranda Senior Vice President of Security and FraudEDGEWOOD, Md., May 22, 2025 – APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) welcomed Marco Miranda Sr. as its vice president of security and fraud. Marco brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience, physical security and investigative expertise in both civil and private sectors.

Before joining APGFCU, Marco spent nine years in the healthcare sector as a corporate security and services director. In this role, he oversaw all physical security programs, including the design and implementation of a large 24/7 command center, which was connected to local first responder networks. Before that, Marco worked for a national security officer agency covering Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. His client portfolio included notable companies such as Stanley Black and Decker, UPS, and Perdue.

Throughout his career, Marco has focused on fostering high-performing teams and enhancing the experiences of employees, customers, and members. He has developed and implemented strategies to drive organizational success and has built infrastructures to improve efficiency, safety, and service in alignment with corporate strategies and business goals.

Marco has been recognized as a member of the Governor's Security Committee on Gang Violence and has participated in numerous panels discussing community safety programs in Baltimore City. Additionally, during his law enforcement career, Marco worked behind the scenes on “The Wire” and made an appearance in an episode of “Homicide: Life on the Streets.” He holds a degree in criminal justice.
