EDGEWOOD, Md., May 5, 2022 — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) is proud to announce the winners of its annual scholarship competition. This year, APGFCU is awarding $60,000 to 30 worthy recipients.

The scholarship program is open to high school students anticipating spring graduation, continuing students and returning adults pursuing college, certificate or trade school programs.

Applicants were asked to respond with a written essay, video or photo to the prompt, “APGFCU offers the resources and tools you need to take control of your finances. Whether it's owning a home, helping to further education or saving for a special event, we're here to help you realize your dreams. Describe your goals for the future and what steps, including credit union resources, you will take to turn your dreams into reality.”

The 30 winning candidates will each receive a $2,000 scholarship from APGFCU for a total of $60,000 in awards. Scholarship recipients were recognized at the 2022 APGFCU annual member meeting.

APGFCU is a leader in financial literacy programs designed to help young member-owners develop successful money management skills through programs like M3 Money Club, Banzai Direct and GreenPath University. The programs support members of all ages on their financial journeys, from teaming up with superheroes to learn smart money habits to budgeting for college and beyond.
