APGFCU Named 2014 “Favorite” by Cecil Whig Readers

Posted on Nov 21, 2014 by APGFCU

Voted Favorite by Cecil Whig Readers

In October 2014, the Cecil Whig announced the results of its annual Cecil County Favorites contest. Cecil County readers voiced their opinions by voting for their favorites in categories that ranged from accounting firms to restaurant selections. APG Federal Credit Union was chosen in two categories: Favorite Lender and Favorite Bank or Credit Union.

“All of us at APGFCU are extremely grateful to be named a Cecil Whig Favorite. As a cooperative financial institution, our credit union is committed to the financial wellbeing of our members and our community. The members we serve also happen to be our owners — and they live and work right here in Cecil County. We are local people helping local people, and we thank you for the honor,’” said APGFCU President/CEO Don W. Lewis.

APGFCU opened its first Cecil County branch in 1989 in Elkton. Over the past 25 years, APGFCU has grown both its footprint and its commitment to the local community with free financial education and resources through partnerships with Cecil College, Cecil County Public Schools and Public Library, and Cecil County Department of Social Services.
