APGFCU Honors Susan Kemen
for 30 Years of Service

In February, APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) honored Susan Kemen, senior vice president of consumer lending, with an award presentation for 30 years of dedicated service to the credit union.

In 1983, Ms. Kemen was hired as a part-time teller at APGFCU’s Aberdeen Proving Ground Branch. Over the years, she was promoted to collection department manager, consumer loan manager, senior vice president branch operations, and most recently, senior vice president of consumer lending. In her current role, Ms. Kemen oversees and manages all aspects of consumer lending to provide interest income while minimizing risk and loss to the organization. She lives in Bel Air, Maryland, with her husband and two children.

As one of the largest employers in Harford County, APGFCU has 290 employees, 68 percent of whom live in Harford County and 17 percent in Cecil County. The credit union encourages the professional advancement of its employees and promotes from within.

As a not-for-profit cooperative with its members’ interests at heart, the financial and social well-being of the local communities remains APGFCU’s top priority. Since its founding in 1938, APGFCU continues to fulfill its mission of ‘people helping people’ by returning profits to members in the form of lower loan rates and higher dividends on savings.

APGFCU is committed to building strong families for a stronger community with 11 branches in Harford and Cecil counties. Membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Harford County or Cecil County.
