APGFCU Nancy Hill for 35 Years of Dedicated Service

In December, APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) honored Nancy Hill, certified financial literacy education counselor, with an award presentation for 35 years of dedicated service to the credit union.

In 1977, Hill was hired as a teller at APGFCU’s Aberdeen Proving Ground Branch and was later promoted to new accounts representative. Since then, Hill has held positions as support service representative and member service specialist. In her current role as certified financial literacy education counselor, Hill is responsible for implementing financial literacy education initiatives, conducting educational workshops targeting youth and adults, conducting outreach to affiliate programs and developing supplemental educational materials. She lives in Havre de Grace, Md.

As one of the largest employers in Harford County, APGFCU has 275 employees, 70 percent of whom live in Harford County and 20 percent in Cecil County. The credit union encourages the professional advancement of its employees and promotes from within.

As a not-for-profit cooperative with its members’ interests at heart, the financial and social well-being of the local communities remains APGFCU’s top priority. Since its founding in 1938, APGFCU continues to fulfill its mission of ‘people helping people’ by returning profits to members in the form of lower loan rates and higher dividends on savings.

APGFCU is committed to building strong families for a stronger community with 10 branches in Harford and Cecil counties and an eleventh scheduled for Fallston in the winter. Membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Harford County or Cecil County.
