 Cell Phones for Soldiers is a national charity with a local affiliation that was developed to turn donated cell phones into prepaid calling cards, helping U.S. troops stationed overseas to call home. Support this deserving charity and make a positive difference in many peoples’ lives by donating your new or used cell phones!
By donating, you can show your appreciation for the men and women of all military branches who have sacrificed the day-to-day contact with their own families to serve in the U.S. armed forces. Cell phones are now being collected at ALL APGFCU branches. Any type of cell phone is accepted and all personal data is erased from the phones. Donation receipts are available.
Cell Phones for Soldiers clients do not receive cell phones. Donated phones are sold to ReCellular, and GRC Wireless Recycling, recycling companies. Cell Phones for Soldiers uses the money they receive from the recycling company to purchase prepaid calling cards which are sent to soldiers with local families.
