GO
Direct
APGFCU is pleased to announce our partnership with GO Direct,
a national campaign sponsored by the U.S. Department of the
Treasury and the Federal Reserve Banks, to help people who
get Social Security and other federal benefit payments by
check to switch to direct deposit.
Direct Deposit of federal benefit payments is safer,
more secure,
and quicker
than receiving a check. Since 1976 the Social Security Administration
has used Direct Deposit for benefit payments and has never
lost a payment. Plus, Direct Deposit also saves taxpayers
millions of dollars. If every current federal benefit check
recipient switched to direct deposit, it would save taxpayers
about $120 million a year.
To sign up now simply click
here to go directly to the Go Direct website and sign
up, or contact APGFCU at 1-800-225-2555 and let us know you
want to arrange for direct deposit of your regular federal
payment and we will set it up for you.
Before starting the enrollment process, make sure you have
the following four things available.
 |
Social security number |
 |
Bank, credit union or investment provider's
routing number, which can be found on the bottom of your
personal check (APGFCU's routing
# is 255075576) |

Account number |
 |
Spelling of your name as it appears on your
federal benefit check |
