APGFCU’s Joshua Lewis Graduates from Cecil Leadership Institute

(Aberdeen, MD, July 27, 2010) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] is proud to announce that Joshua Lewis, Branch Manager for APGFCU’s Elkton Branch, was recognized as a graduate of the 2010 Cecil Leadership Institute at an awards banquet on June 2, 2010. 

The challenging, 13-week program included on-the-job assignments, coursework, and independent study accounting for over 90 hours of instruction, providing future leaders the opportunity to learn from today's leaders in Cecil County governments, businesses, and tourism.

The Cecil Leadership Institute is a community development project, co-sponsored by Cecil College, the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce and the Cecil County Office of Economic Development.  The Institute is designed to provide a forum whereby existing and emerging leaders can work together to create a committed, involved, and diverse network of leaders in Cecil County. 

The committee selected candidates from small businesses, industries, and non-profit organizations. Enrollment was limited to 30 participants.

APGFCU supports and provides leadership programs for the continual development of staff at all organizational levels.  By strengthening its emerging leaders, APGFCU improves member experience and quality of service.
