APGFCU 2010 Community Invitational at Ripken Youth Baseball Academy

(Aberdeen, July 22, 2010)  Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] will host its 6th annual tournament for local youth softball and baseball teams on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Ripken Youth Baseball Academy in Aberdeen.

Eighteen 11u/12u teams from Harford and Cecil County recreational councils will participate in this grand slam tournament at no cost to their teams, allowing many of the youth teams an unprecedented opportunity for tournament play and the “Ripken Experience.” 

The teams are:

The tournament begins on Saturday morning at 8:00 am.  Games will continue through the day, and four teams for each sport will move on to the Semi-Finals and final Championship Game.  Trophies will be awarded to all players in the 1st and 2nd place baseball and softball teams before dusk.

Reporters and photographers are invited to attend the APGFCU Community Invitational games on Saturday, August 7, from 8:00 am until dusk.

For over 72 years, APGFCU has been providing assistance to Harford and Cecil County community organizations in an effort to improve economic social conditions.  Membership to APGFCU is FREE and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Harford or Cecil County.
