(Aberdeen, April 28, 2010) – Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] honored its volunteers for their years of service to the credit union during an awards dinner at the Maryland Golf and Country Club, in Bel Air, on Saturday, April 10, 2010.

Doris B. Drennen for 30 years of service
Dwight E. Hair, COL (Retired), for 21 years of service

David Gilbert, APGFCU Board Chair said: "One thing that makes APGFCU different from other financial institutions is our volunteers. Freely giving of their time and talent, volunteers are essential to the strategic direction and well-being of our credit union. Our member-owners are blessed to have such high caliber individuals looking after their best interests.”
Volunteers were treated to a formal dinner and presented with framed certificates and decorative lapel pins. APGFCU has been honoring its volunteers with awards dinners at the Maryland Golf and Country Club since 1996.
Volunteers with APGFCU determine the strategic direction of the institution through planning, establishing policy, and acting as oversight guardians in the best interests of the entire membership.
APGFCU is committed to building strong families for a stronger community with nine branches in Harford and Cecil Counties and a tenth scheduled for North East in late 2010. Membership is FREE and OPEN to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Harford or Cecil County.
