Santa with APGFCU Members
(Aberdeen, January 27, 2010)— APGFCU's Toys for Tots drive successfully wrapped up on December 15, 2009, after collecting hundreds of new toys for deserving children in Harford and Cecil counties.
To help draw families to donate toys and spread holiday cheer, Santa Claus made his way to APGFCU’S Aberdeen, Edgewood, Elkton, Forest Hill and Laurel Bush branches on Saturday, December 12. Dressed as elves, APGFCU staff took pictures of children with Santa and handed out free coloring books and crayons.
Aligned with APGFCU’s mission to provide assistance to segments of underserved populations, the annual Toys for Tots drive successfully demonstrated the credit union mission of, “People Helping People.”
Each of APGFCU’s nine branches participated in the drive with plans to continue the Toys for Tots collection drive in 2010. Toys for Tots distributed the gifts to military families with a deployed parent and other deserving children over the Christmas holiday.
