(Aberdeen, December 3, 2009) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] is excited to announce the local winners of its “Scan Your Smile & Win” sweepstakes. As part of its Personal Security Month promotion in October, the five winners received heavy-duty cross-cut shredders to help protect against identity theft.

Member-owners who had their photo IDs scanned into their accounts in October were automatically entered to win one of five shredders. Having a photo on file helps APGFCU to identify member-owners when they visit a branch and prevent identity theft. The winners were randomly selected in the sweepstakes drawing on November 14, 2009.
