APGFCU Serves Pancakes To Raise Money For The Boys & Girls Clubs Of Harford County

APGFCU and Boys & Girls Clubs Volunteers

(Aberdeen, October 28, 2009) — On Saturday, October 24, 2009, Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] hosted a Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill in Bel Air, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., attracting over 160 guests and raising $1,078 for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County.

For $6 or less, guests enjoyed unlimited pancakes and beverages and were served by employees of APGFCU and young members of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County.  All net proceeds from the breakfast were donated to support the Clubs’ mission of enabling all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.  

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County is more than a place -- it is a "movement" to inspire. By reaching children at an early age and providing positive activities and encouragement, the Clubs provide a compelling alternative to youth crime, gang membership and other negative influences that effect local youth today.
