APGFCU Hosts FREE Women’s Conference Providing Local Perspective on Financial Health and Success
(Aberdeen, October 19, 2009) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU]] will host its 2009 Women’s Conference, “Discover Your Path to Financial Success,” at the Bayou Restaurant located at 927 Pulaski Highway, in Havre de Grace, on Saturday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The free conference will provide leading-edge information on matters critical to the financial success of today’s woman:
the steps to take when you’re out of work,
how to plan for your next career move,
where to find FREE local resources to save time and money and,
how to manage the stress of keeping it all together, while building your financial health and wealth.
Guests will be treated to a continental breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and special gifts. Four locally-known experts will speak throughout the morning, including: Mary Chance, Director of Community Services; Audra Caplan, Director, Harford County Public Library; Linda Siegel, Operations Manager, Susquehanna Workforce Network; and, Sheila Murphy, Community Relations Manager, Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services.
The 2009 Women’s Conference grew from a similar event for women last year that attracted nearly 100 guests. Aligned with APGFCU’s strategic focus to provide financial literacy education, the conference demonstrates the credit union mission of “People Helping People.”
