(Aberdeen, September 23, 2009) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] spotlights Personal Security Awareness in October by hosting the annual FREE Shred-It Day for all its member-owners.
Shred-It Baltimore trucks will be on the parking lots at the Aberdeen, Edgewood, Elkton and Laurel Bush APGFCU branches, Saturday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All APGFCU member-owners are encouraged to bring up to two file boxes or grocery bags of files to shred. Shredding private papers with sensitive information is a fast and easy way for member-owners to deter identity theft.
Regularly shredding personal records decreases the chances of having personal information stolen by “dumpster divers” who rummage through garbage cans or removed from your home by burglars.
APGFCU is committed to protecting the personal security of our member-owners. For event details, helpful personal security tips, and FREE personal security resources visit www.APGFCU.com, call 410-272-4000, press four, or stop in a branch .
