APGFCU 2009 Community Invitational at Ripken Youth Baseball Academy

(Aberdeen, September 14, 2009) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] will host its 5th annual tournament for local youth softball and baseball teams on Sunday, September 20 at Ripken Youth Baseball Academy in Aberdeen. 

Sixteen 11u/12u teams from Harford and Cecil County recreational councils will participate in this grand slam tournament at no cost to their teams, allowing many of the youth teams an unprecedented opportunity for tournament play and the “Ripken Experience.”  The local teams include:

The tournament begins at 7:30 am on Sunday, and at the conclusion of the preliminary games, four teams for each sport will move on to the Semi-Finals and final Championship Game, where trophies will be awarded to all players in the 1st and 2nd place baseball and softball teams.
