Toys for Tots Collection in Elkton

(Aberdeen, January 21, 2009) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union’s [APGFCU] Toys for Tots drive successfully wrapped up on December 18, 2008, after collecting hundreds of new toys for deserving children in Harford and Cecil counties.

Aligned with APGFCU’s mission to provide assistance to segments of underserved populations, the annual Toys for Tots drive successfully demonstrated the credit union mission of, “People Helping People.”

Each of APGFCU’s nine branches participated in the drive with plans to continue the Toys for Tots collection drive in 2009. Toys for Tots distributed the gifts to military families with a deployed parent and other deserving children over the Christmas holiday.
