APGFCU Collecting Books for January Jump Start to Reading Book Drive
(Aberdeen, December 10, 2008) —Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] will proudly participate in the annual January Jump Start to Reading Book Drive through the end of the month. As in the past six years, each of APGFCU’s nine branches will accept donations of new books for local community children ages two through college, with special emphasis on disadvantaged children.
“The book drive gives children the resources to develop literacy skills and experience the joy and imagination of reading. APGFCU is committed to helping change lives and to turning children into readers. This on-going initiative is a prime example of our mission to help people in our communities,” stated Tina Mike, Education Director, APGFCU.
Collection bins are located in the lobbies of each of APGFCU’s branches located in Aberdeen, Amyclae, Bel Air, Edgewood, Elkton, Forest Hill, Havre DeGrace, Laurel Bush, and Aberdeen Proving Ground. Book donations will be accepted at all branches through January 31, 2009. For more information, visit one of APGFCU’s nine convenient locations or call 410-893-7359.
