APGFCU’s Education Department Appoints Michael Ches Education Specialist

(Aberdeen, July 17, 2008) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU] is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Ches to Education Specialist, reflective of the credit union’s commitment to expand its educational services within the Harford and Cecil communities.
Mr. Ches comments, “I am excited to join the Education family. My new role will allow me to reach out to children, teens, and adults and show them how mastering money management skills will improve their financial health.”
Mr. Ches will assist in the development of partnerships with local schools in Harford and Cecil County in an effort to educate youth about the importance of responsible money management.
” We're thrilled to welcome Mr. Ches to our Education Department,” comments Tina Mike, APGFCU’s Education Director. “Mike brings more than five years financial services and classroom teaching experience to his position. His passion, creativity, and enthusiasm, as well as the perspective of a young adult striving to build his own wealth, will strengthen our efforts to deliver the best in financial literacy education.”
Prior to joining the Education Department, Mr. Ches was a Member Service Representative for APGFCU and a Substitute Teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools. He recently graduated from the Community College Baltimore County in Essex, and will pursue a B.S. in Education at Towson University in the Fall. Mr. Ches and his wife serve as Youth Pastors at a church in Baltimore County, coaching teens on a variety of life situations.
