APGFCU Celebrates 80,000-Member Milestone
(Aberdeen, June 4, 2008) — Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union [APGFCU], recently reached a memorable milestone by presenting new Elkton member-owner, Shawn Webster, with a special gift when he became the 80,000th member to join the credit union.
"Achieving this major milestone demonstrates APGFCU’s impact in the Harford and Cecil county communities. We look forward to adding on this success as more people discover the benefits of the APGFCU credit union difference,” stated Barbara Lawson, Elkton Branch Manager.
For 70 years, APGFCU has been a strong advocate of financial literacy within its communities and has worked to empower its member families to become financially secure and independent. In that time, the credit union has grown to $620 million in assets with eight full-service branches in Harford and Cecil counties and a ninth branch scheduled to open in the Fall of 2008 in Forest Hill.
