Congratulations to the local prize winners of APGFCU’s “Spotlight a Soldier” essay contest!
APGFCU invited member-owners to nominate, in 750 words or less, local military servicemen or women they feel have distinguished themselves with exceptional courage, kindness, compassion, unselfish character or acts of heroism.
The six winners were selected by a panel of APGFCU judges and awarded a total of $1,000. One $500 Visa® gift card and five $100 Visa gift cards were awarded to:

As part of Military Appreciation Month in May, the “Spotlight a Soldier” contest demonstrated APGFCU's dedication to serving the financial needs and improving the financial wellness of military families. The contest ran May 1 – May 30, 2009, and was open to all APGFCU member-owners.
