What is a QR Code?

A QR code is an abbreviation for quick response code. It's a two-dimensional code that can be read by smartphones and directs the user to an advertising website.

What is a smartphone?
A smartphone is a cell phone with built-in or add-on applications and Internet access. Although not all smartphones are the same, most provide digital voice service as well as text messaging, email, Web browsing, still and video cameras, MP3 player (music), video viewing and video calling.

Only a smartphone can be used to scan a QR code. A photo taken of the QR code with a regular cell phone will not work. To scan a QR code, most smartphones need a special application or barcode scanner.

For questions about your cell phone’s capabilities, please contact your cell phone service provider.

Thank you.
